The Service Centre Administrator for the Whangarei office is a key customer orientated position within the Red Cross team in Northland. It is responsible for ensuring that the Whangarei Service Centre operates in a professional and highly efficient manner on a daily basis so that Red Cross core business is effective and respected.

This role will provide comprehensive administrative services and general office support to staff and members; and provide direct support to the Northland Community Services Manager.

  • 2-3 years working experience in a general office environment, in an administrative role.
  • Outstanding customer service.
  • A "can do" attitude.
  • Experience in office administration, including accounts.
  • Data entry experience.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sensitivity towards and ability to consult with people from different lifestyles and social and economic backgrounds.
  • Empathy with humanitarian causes.
  • Be able to work flexible hours when needed.
  • A current full motor vehicle driver's licence is essential.
